Frederick Law Olmsted: Music in the Park by Michael Leidig
Michael Leidig a classical pianist and Emerald Necklace Conservancy Docent discusses the life & major professional accomplishments of the “Father of Landscape Architecture” with a particular focus on his prized Boston gem: The Emerald Necklace. In addition, Michael will perform classical music that Olmsted would likely have heard during his time in Boston in the late 1800’s including 3 rarely known and performed Boston-based composers G.D. Wilson, Edward MacDowell, and Amy Beach. Registration is free, but required.
