Michael Leidig is a classical & jazz pianist performing throughout the Boston area as well as Baltimore, MD, Raleigh, NC, Buffalo, NY and Ocala, FL promoting musical appreciation through live performance and historical accounts of composers’ lives. In addition, as a “nod” to his 20 years in health care as a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer & health coach, he humorously reveals the eating habits of the time period. In addition to his music performance, his extensive professional background includes developing and directing a multi-site wellness program at Tufts Medical Center and owning a fitness and nutrition business for over 20 years. Currently, he teaches at Northeastern University, leads walking and biking tours as a Docent for the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, assists with climate change research at the Arnold Arboretum, and volunteers for various organizations addressing food insecurity such as Fair Foods (a food rescue organization) and the Brookline Food Pantry. He lives in Dedham and has resided in Boston since 1999. Prior to that he lived in Fort Collins, CO and grew up in Baltimore, MD. He has played piano since 1976.
