Saxophonist Yuval Cohen and pianist Guy Mintus first met 13 years ago, when Guy was a young pupil at the center of Jazz Studies in Tel Aviv, that is run today by Yuval. Lots of water went under the bridge since, and now Yuval and Guy are meeting again for a very intimate duo, where each one brings his musical perspective, and the result his heart opening. In this very special concert you will musically experience the recent period, with all it's difficulties and challenges. A new tune by Yuval, "Far away", reflects on social distancing, a medley of flower songs that brings together Billy Straihorn and Israeli legend Neomi Shemer, and a special "Shir Le Shira" - a tune Yuval wrote after the tragic murder of Shira Benki at the Jerusalem gay parade, debut performance of this special piece.
